Hammermill Mark I

• Power Requirement: 5.5 kW 3 phase electric motor or a 10hp engine.

• Power requirement: 7.5 kW phase motor at 2880 rpm.
• Capacity: On a 2.0 and 3.0 mm sieve, the machine can process 500kg/h of sorghum. On a 1.6 and 2.0 mm sieve, it can process 515 kg/h of maize.

• The plant has been developed to address the need for a high capacity milling machine in the milling industry. It consists of Control Panel Intake Hopper, Grading Machine (Grain Cleaner), Bucket Elevators, Screw Conveyors, Silos, Rotary valves, Dehullers and Hammermills. It is intended to reduce labour requirements and it is environmentally friendly. Its capacity is 500kg per hour.

• The machine grinds various grains such as sorghum, maize, millet, etc into flour or grit. It can grind 75kg of maize and sorghum, and 136kg of maize rice per hour.

• It removes husks from sorghum heads. Capacity: 210kg of sorghum per hour

• This machine shells  uncovered maize grains from cobs. Capacity: 270kg of Maize per hour for uncovered cobs and 300kg of covered  cobs per hour

• Stores grains for up to two (2) years without deteriorating, Can store 560kg or 8 x 70kg bags of grain.

• It cuts crop residue such as maize or sorghum stalk into a size suitable for livestock feed and thereby preserve the nutritional value of the stalk. Capacity: 200kg/hr - dry chaff 400 kg/hr - wet chaff

• It incorporates a crimpler which crushes the stems of lablab, grass, sugarcane, sorghum, maize stalk etc before they are fed to the cutting blades for cutting into small pieces. Crushing these forage increases their palatability for livestock feeding and improves their mixability with other ingredients such as common salt. Capacity: 60 - 70 kg per hour of forage.

• This machine is ideal for mixing different livestock feeds into a uniform composition. Capacity: Mix batch of 76kg in 5 minutes

• A machine that processes Lucerne stalks and grain into fodder. Capacity: 200kg of processed feed per hour.

• It is a container for dipping goats and sheep to protect them from infestation by parasites such as ticks, lice, etc. It has a capacity of 1,500 litres and it is made up of fiberglass to be light and portable.
