They are installed as units with the dehullers. They process sorghum into flour through the milling process which is effected by the hammering action of the metal hammers attached to the shaft that rotates in the milling chamber. |

Capacity: On a 2.0 and 3.0 mm sieve, the machine can process 500kg/h of sorghum. On a 1.6 and 2.0 mm sieve, it can process 515 kg/h of maize.

The Semi Automated Sorghum Milling Plant

The plant has been developed to address the need for a high capacity milling machine in the milling industry. It consists of Control Panel Intake Hopper, Grading Machine (Grain Cleaner), Bucket Elevators, Screw Conveyors, Silos, Rotary valves, Dehullers and Hammermills. It is intended to reduce labour requirements and it is environmentally friendly. Its capacity is 500kg per hour.

The machine grinds various grains such as sorghum, maize, millet, etc into flour or grit. It can grind 75kg of maize and sorghum, and 136kg of maize rice per hour.

Chaff Cutter with Crimpler

It incorporates a crimpler which crushes the stems of lablab, grass, sugarcane, sorghum, maize stalk etc before they are fed to the cutting blades for cutting into small pieces. Crushing these forage increases their palatability for livestock feeding and improves their mixability with other ingredients such as common salt. Capacity: 60 - 70 kg per hour of forage.

It is a container for dipping goats and sheep to protect them from infestation by parasites such as ticks, lice, etc. It has a capacity of 1,500 litres and it is made up of fiberglass to be light and portable.
