Technology Transfer Unit

The Unit operates under the Business, Marketing and Extension Department of RIPCO (B) It oversees the effective transfer of RIPCO (B) technologies to local engineering workshops for commercial production. Through this transfer process, RIPCO (B) creates jobs for local workshops and aims to maximize their competitiveness.

Contract Manufacturing

RIPCO (B) undertakes Contract Manufacturing of its products with local workshops in Botswana. The Technology Transfer Unit (TTU) subcontracts manufacturing to local engineering workshops which meet selection criteria. The workshops which meet the criteria are then enlisted in RIPCO (B) TTU workshop contractor list so that they are considered for production of RIPCO (B) technologies.
