Water Lifting and Treatment Technologies

Bush Pump
Lifts water from wells and boreholes for livestock, agricultural or domestic use. It operates on the lift pump principle, the reciprocating action being transferred from the pump head to the cylinder in the borehole or well through steel rods inside the steel pipe. Can lift water from a depth of 3m to 80m and has an average output pumping from 20m of 18 litres per minute (flow rate decreases with greater depth).

RIPCO (B) has a Constructed Wetland Wastewater recycling technology which treats waste water from sewers and produce effluent that can be used in different applications such in lawns, construction, horticulture, and gardening. To this date, the technology has been disseminated with five such treatments nationwide: three in Kanye (one at RIIC, one for Prisons Department and the other for the Ramatea Vocational Training Centre); one at Thuso Rehabilitation in Maun; one at Tlokweng College of Education near Gaborone. The company has provided consultancy service to the Mmokoloki Nature Reserve towards the construction of a wetland treatment plant which waters an elephant bath.
